Nanowrimo day 16: The glass is...

So are you thinking today: "I still have half a month to write this book" or "I only have half a month to write this book"?

It's the writer's version of the half full/half empty quandary...the good news is that no matter what you think you have 14 days left to write (13 if you accept that next Thursday you will be in a turkey coma).  So what's it going to be?  Get frustrated and let your word count dwindle to nothing or are you going to tear off your shirt, thrust your arms to the heavens, and howl: I am Master of my Universe.

Or whatever you do when you're feeling tenacious.

This isn't time to ball up in the corner and eat your hair.  It's not time to hit delete.  And even if you're on par with your word count, or nearly there, it's not the time to get lazy.  This is the time to serge forward.  To drink copious amounts of coffee and eat twizzlers for lunch.  It's time to step into the world of your novel.  You can do this.  You will do this.  And it will be spectacular.
