Well, Altered is done in the way any book is done. There's still a few things left to do. But now it's on to copyedits and then typesetting, and soon, very soon, it will be printed into ARCs.
And it's birthday is only 8 months away!
I won't lie this book was tough to write. If you've read Crewel then you know I set myself up for trouble at the end of the first book. A lot of you have commented that book two could go so many directions. And, dear readers, there's the rub.
I wrote one version of Altered and it didn't quite work, so when my editor suggested more revision. I suggested scrapping the whole thing and starting over in a new direction. Yes, it was stressful, but I'm glad I had the option.
And you know what? I can't wait for you to read this book. It's bigger, steamier, and more exciting than Crewel. Let the countdown to October 29 begin!
